Tent Peak (5663m.), also known as Tharpu Chuli is in the Annapurna region. Tharpu Chuli trek is one of the most climbed peaks along with the trek of Annapurna sanctuary. As it offers the astonishing view of Annapurna massif, the climb is also pleased with the breath-stopping view of glaciers and moraines. Tent peak climbing includes a glacier trek around the Annapurna region.
The panoramic view of the massive mountains along with the beautiful landscape along the trail is another feature of the Tharpu Chuli climb. Exploration of Annapurna sanctuary while climbing the peak is an additional point of the Tent Peak climb. Breath-stopping stunning view of the Dhaulagiri ranges is also seen while climbing the peak.
The trail to reach Annapurna Base Camp follows the Modi Khola River belt. The natural vegetation of the alpine forest, lush flowers, and green valleys and their picturesque view gives enough pleasure for the trek. Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli trekking trail begins from Pokhara city. While walking along, we explore Dhampus, Landruk, Chhomrong, and Dovan villages. Exploration of Dahulu, Tadapani, Ghorepani, and access to Khumbu village is enjoyable. Crossing the tree lines, we enter into the snowfields of Machhapuchhre Base Camp and head along with the Annapurna Base Camp. The super view of snow-capped mountains including Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.) and Mt. Annapurna (8091m.) stocks everyone’s eyes along the trek.
Tent Peak climb starts from Annapurna Base Camp as you enter the semi-circled amphitheater surrounded by high mountains. After crossing a glacier and leaving Annapurna Base Camp back the trail climbs up to the Tent Peak Base Camp. The peak is with many other attractive peaks such as Hiunchuli peak and Singu Chuli Peak.
The climb up to the summit is suitable for those who are healthy and with the spirit to have adventures. It is worthwhile as you climb the peak and experience the overwhelmed beauty of nature in the Himalayas.
Day 01: Pick up from the airport and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley and pre-trip meeting.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (820m.).
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul then trek to Ulleri
Day 05: Ulleri to Ghorepani 2840m.Next day early morning hike up to Poonhill to have a massif Annapurna and Dhaulagiri including fishtail. Explore some time over the top and come down to the hotel.
Day 06: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2700m.)
Day 07: Tadapani to Chhomrong.
Day 08: Chhomrong to Bamboo Lodge (2310m.).
Day 09: Bamboo Lodge to Himalayan Hotel (2920m.).
Day 10: Himalayan Hotel to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m.).
Day 11: Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m.).
Day 12: Annapurna Base Camp to Tent Peak Base Camp (4400m.), overnight at Tent.
Day 13: Base Camp to High Camp (5000m.), overnight at Tent.
Day 14: Touch summit 5850m and trek back to Annapurna Base Camp, overnight in Lodge.
Day 15: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo Lodge.
Day 16: Bamboo Lodge to Jhinu Danda (hot spring).
Day 17: Hot Spring to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara.
Day 18: Pokhara drive to Kathmandu
