Managing Director of the Company, Tara Rana is from Gorkha Amppipal, the mid hilly region of Nepal. She looks after entire day to day operations including internal management and other office administration. She brings a positive energy while engaging herself at her work and enjoys being a part of a Destination Himalaya Treks and Expedition Team.

She also plans company’s travel arrangements and provide support to the team. With her years of experience in travel and tourism sector, she brings her best efforts in what she does. She possesses affection towards this field and also she has traveled around various trekking regions of Nepal.

The founder and team leader of the company, Min Bahadur Gurung was born in hilly region of Khoplang VDC at Gorkha district, a Manaslu trekking area. As he was raised among the picturesque hills and mountains, he developed his passion into profession in 1998 when he started working as a trekking guide. With constant devotion and determination, after gaining professional training for trekking and peak climbing in 2000, he registered himself as one of the promising figure in Nepalese tourism sector.

He has been to almost every trek in Nepal from Annapurna, Manaslu and Mustang region to Langtang, Everest and Makalu region. Also he has successfully led several peak climbing adventure including Mera Peak Climbing, Chulu West Peak Climbing and others. Now after more than decades of professional experience in Nepalese Tourism Sector, he is also a driving force behind success of company which makes him not only a trekking leader but the leader of company as a whole.

Bharat Gurung hails from Gorkha District of Nepal and is a senior trekking leader of our company. He started his professional career as trekking guide since 2001. With more than decades of experience in leading numerous Nepal trekking trips around Annapurna region, Everest region, Mustang region, Langtang region, Manaslu region, Makalu region, and even at Tibet and India trips, he posses detailed knowledge about trekking trails, Himalayas, high passes besides the information on local cultures and traditions. A person with great interpersonal skill, Mr. Gurung has a longing for efficiency and productivity in the performance of the team and ability to form precise strategy to put these objectives into action. Bringing in the first hand experience as a trekking guide in the past, he has established a credible presence in the management of operations of Destination Himalaya Treks and Expedition.

Mohan Singh Gurung was born and raised at Gorkha district of Nepal and had great influence towards trekking and exploring since his childhood. After graduating from school, he followed his passion and started working as a porter. After gaining adequate knowledge and training, he became registered trekking guide since the year 2003. All these years, he is actively involved in leading trekking trips at Annapurna, Everest, Mustang, Langtang, Manaslu and Makalu region. He is also expert in showing the best of nature and culture to travelers from all around the world. With his friendly nature and ability to understand the need of clients, he becomes popular among the group instantly.

Huk Bahadur Thapa is our senior trekking guide with nearly two decades of work experience since 1996. He was born in Gorkha district and started his career as a porter. While developing himself from porter to trekking leader, he has taken various trainings apart from his on ground knowledge. He is passionate towards his profession as it is the thing that makes him happy. He loves to interact with people from foreign countries, show them the best of nature and culture that naturally blessed Nepal has to offer. He expertise in trekking at Annapurna, Mustang, Everest, Langtang, Manaslu, Makalu, Dolpo and Kanchanjunga region along with high passes trek and even trips to Tibet and India.

Nwang Sherpa has been working actively in the Tourism sector with more than 15 years of experience in the related field. Natively belonging to the Solukhumbu district of the eastern Nepal, Nwang Sherpa brings savvy enthusiasm & excitement to whatever he does. He previously has successfully climbed many trekking peaks along with the incomparable Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu and Mt. Amadablam, hence he not only has the expertise, but the heart and leadership to make your experience with Destination Himalaya unforgettable. With a relentless passion for trekking, Nwang Sherpa looks forward to seeing you in Nepal very soon.

Pasang Kaji Sherpa belongs from popular Everest region, the Solukhumbu district of Nepal and is a senior climbing guide of our company. Being born as Sherpa and raised at foothills of worlds highest Himalayan peaks, he was always passionate about peak climbing, mountaineering and Himalayan expeditions. It was in his blood. He has already stepped at top of the world, during his Everest expedition and led several groups to various other expeditions to summit of Mt. Manaslu, Mera Peak, Amadablam, Island Peak, Chulu West Peak, Naya Kanga Peak, Pachermo Peak, Dhampus Peak and other several technical peaks of Nepal. He has great mountaineering and peak climbing skills that can make your adventurous holiday in Nepal once in a lifetime opportunity.

Mr. Dahal was born at Budatham 7, Dhading district of Nepal at the lap of hills. Since his childhood, he was very close to nature and passionate about exploring the magnificence of nature. Following his dream and passion, he started to put his efforts professionally as a porter in 1992 and since then there is no turning back. Now, he has visited almost every trekking regions of Nepal from Annapurna, Everest, Manaslu to Makalu, Dolpo Kanchencjunga and Mustang region. Along with these trekking sites he also has guided various touristic sites at India and Tibet. With more than two decades of experience, he is currently working as trekking leader and camping trekking chief at Destination Himalaya Treks.

One of the finest trekking guides in Destination Himalaya, Madan Thapa belongs to the historically important and picturesque Gorkha District in Nepal, the district in the vicinity of Langtang trekking region. Attracted to the exploration of grandeur of nature and its diversity, Mr. Thapa has spent more than 2-3 years as a trekking guide and participated in several trekking expeditions. Besides being a certified by the government as a trekking guide, he has detailed knowledge about the culture, tradition and natural heritages of several trekking areas such as Everest, Annapurna and others beside the native Langtang region. The knowledge, carefulness and presence of mind of Mr. Thapa always come handy when you are trekking in this guidance.

One of the dependable members of our team, Mr. Sekhar Dhakal is one core strength of Destination Himalaya Treks and Expedition when it comes to guiding the tourists in various important tourist destinations. Originally from the district of Gorkha, Mr. Dhakal has brought in with him valuable experience of 6 years in the field of tour and related sectors. Having an in-depth knowledge about the important historical monuments, arts and architecture besides the passion to present it to the visitors, he has served several tours in these years of working. Highly trained and dedicated in his profession, he has the ability to communicate smoothly with the clients. Mr. Dhakal is known for his concern for the safety and comfort of his clients besides being equipped with good organizational and time-management skills.
