Today your trekking begins after four hours driving to Ulleri. There used to walk from Birethanti and took about 5 hours but there is a road straight to Ulleri now a days which is very good for trekkers. Walking from Tikhedhunga to Ulleri is steep up through stone staircases and see nothing. You will take a lunch with fresh vegetables grown in their farm- organic vegetable in season. So try with Dalbhat today with fresh vegetable curry. You walk about two hours further Nangethanti which is quite and located in the middle of forest, overnight lodge.
Take a fresh breakfast at lodge and begin your journey. Today you will be walking all the way through dense forest of Pine tree, Rhododendron and other tropical vegetation. It's all the way ascending to Ghorepani but the trail is so enjoyable as you will pass many small streams, towering trees covered with mosh, monkeys playing throughout the forest and chirping of birds in the meantime. This trekking trail is full of nature, fine flora and fauna. Walking from Nangethanti to Ghorepani takes about 5 hours, so it's good day with enjoying the nature. Ov
You wake up early morning and hike to Punhill to get sunrise which takes about 45 minutes. You will see panoramic view of Annapurna series, Nilgiri series, Lamjung himal, stunning Mt Dhaulagiri, a trekking peak Dhampus, sacred mountain Fishtail and many others towering peaks. You will also have a surrounding view of jungle with tropical vegetation. There is a view tower standing at Punhill, so if you are earlier there you will get comfortable place to enjoy views and off course for photography and videography. A cup of hot chocolate or coffee over there gives you warm feeling as you can buy those at the view point. Spend quality time there about 30-45 minutes and descend to hotel, take a breakfast and start your todays destination Tadapani. Today there are more ascending and descending today so you might get tired. Walking through the beautiful forest, cross many streams and musical sound of birds and little insects make your walking so enjoyable. It's about 7 hours walking to Tadapani, so your walking time today would be more hours as you did Punhill excursion in very early morning .
You will start your walking through the beautiful dense forest of tall Pine trees and rhododendron different types. After 30 minutes walking on the flat land you will do the down hill all the way to Ghandruk Village. Ghandruk is the origin place for Gurung people, Gurung is one of the ethnics in Nepal. You look around the village, recommend you to visit Gurung museum, so you will have knowledge of Gurung culture, history and their livelihood. So it's about 4 hours walking and 2 and an half hour with vehicle-transportation.
