Your Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins today, get ready after taking early breakfast at hotel for the jeep or private vehicle journey to the Pothana Deurali from where you start walking. It's easy and walking through the flatland in the beginning with the view of close facing mountains Annapurna South and Himchuli. It's about 6 hours trekking to Jhinu Danda, in the meantime you will have a place for lunch in Landruk, a beautiful old village has been changed as commercial, you can still see some local houses with stone topped roof and courtyard. you are mostly downhill walking from Pothana 1790m and to jhinudanda 1340m, overnight lodge
Jhinu Danda is the place with natural hot spring has been made a pool for taking a bath. You can see Nepalese people either taking bath on this pool, it's believed that all kind of skin diseases will be over by taking bath in here. You are suggested to there a bottle of cold beer and take a bath but be careful of rive if you are there during monsoon season .
After crossing the suspension bridge at Jhinu, It's steep ascending to Chomrong. Chomrong is another eye catching village where you will have a lunch break, you are suggested to test Chomrong special Pizza in your lunch which is very famous in this route. You will have a tremendous views of Annapurna and Himchuli and Fistail on the right front. Chomrong to Upper Sinuwa takes about 3 hours, first an hour downhill and about 2 hours ascending. The walking trail today is more ups and downs , but of course more ascending. You will be walking through the lush forest, pass few creaky and waterfalls. The path is full of Mountain Ebony (small bamboo) to the left and the right. We can see long tail black and white monkeys, birds of many different species. If you are quite and not with group can see wild boar during the day on walking. Walking through the lush green forest, crossing rivers, beautiful landscapes, and terraces, big waterfall, with snow-capped mountains in the backdrop, and passing some villages we reach our today's camp Himalaya, overnight lodge
The interesting trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MCB) begins with walking through a lovely blossoming rhododendron forest and oak forest. Trek on a steep trail and arrive at Hinko Cave. This huge rock looks attractive. Continue further passing two avalanches, Deurali, and Bagar, and arrive at the Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From there we can view the surrounding snowcapped mountains including Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, etc. Overnight in MBC.
We trek to the Annapurna base camp from the Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Gradually, we trek ascending path to the Annapurna base camp. This place is also called the Annapurna sanctuary because it is surrounded by snow-clad mountains. From there we enjoy the amazing view of the glaciers and mountains including Mt. Annapurna. You can spend your whole day watching the tantalizing mountains full of snow. Overnight in ABC.
Accommodation
Accommodations in the Annapurna Treks are mostly teahouses/guesthouses. You can not expect private rooms for 1-2-3 people or roomes with private bathroom. Lodges are limited from Upper Sinuwa so you have to compromise with your accommodation for 3-5 nights. They don't have double room or triple sharing. The teahouses are comfortable with basic facilities. The extra charge must be paid for the use of facilities like hot water buckets, laundry, charging, internet, and electricity in the guesthouses.
Meals
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are provided during the trekking from the guesthouses. The meals are basic and suitable for the health of the trekkers. The main dish is Nepali Dal Bhat which provides enough energy throughout 7/8 hours of the trek. The variety of meals is hard to find but meals prepared from home-grown crops are a treat during this trek.
Drinking water
Drinking water is easily available at the teahouses. You can buy a mineral water bottle but you should do proper disposal of plastic bottles. You can also fill boiled water at teahouses paying extra charges. Always carry a water bottle and water purification medicine to prevent from unwanted health issues. During trekking, drink direct freshwater from the flowing stream using water purification treatment.
Communication
The internet facility is easily available in the vicinity of the Annapurna region. The internet is fairly stable in the lower regions. A little instability or no availability at high altitudes. By paying extra charges at teahouses, internet facility, electricity for charging can be used. The phone signal is also good but may not work at high altitudes. Using a local sim card, an internet facility can also be used.
Starting and Ending points
The starting point of the Annapurna Trek is from Pothana and ends in New Bridge. Take a ride to Pokhara from there.

Best time for Annapurna Base Camp Trek
Spring and Autumn seasons are the best time followed by the summer season for Annapurna Trek. The weather is clear and sunny during these seasons. The trail is also comfortable to walk. Rainy and Winter season treks are for experienced trekkers. Only a few adventurous trekkers dare to trek during these seasons. We recommend you plan carefully if you want to trek during the off-season.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek Difficulty
Annapurna Trek’s difficulty is moderate. The trek includes a trail having many steep ascends, descends, and rough trails. The trekker with average physical fitness and good health condition can complete the trek. Proper preparation and guidance before starting the trek are fruitful. So, we recommend you participate in exercises, day hikes, and physical training months before starting the trek. Also, take necessary health tests before trekking to high altitudes. Acclimatization and Altitude Sickness
Acclimatization rest is necessary during trekking. The trek starts from Pothana (2,005m) and the altitude rises to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) during the trek. So, in between the treks, upon reaching your daily destinations acclimatize properly. Walk to the surroundings to adapt to the environment and prevent altitude sickness.
